In front of the house is a wide terraced area with a dining table for eight, and room to use the deck chairs or play boules. There is a large gas plancha for outside barbecues. Note that open fires are not permitted.
Flowering ash trees provide shade from the Summer sun, and in spring (April to June) the whole area around the house is a mass of flowers (asphodel, rosemary, wild thyme, tree heath and tiny mountain daffodils, tulips and orchids.)
For birdwatchers there are many raptors in Spring, and passing storks, cranes bee-eaters and warblers, and many butterflies too.
Further off below you are vineyards and then the coast. The whole area is covered in well signed paths for walkers of all levels, rising to over 1000 metres. The walk up to the landmark Madeloc Tower takes half an hour.
